Siaya County, Kenya · Community-led since 2022

Climate action and poverty eradication start together.

New Eden Park works from a community nursery in Siaya County. Trees, water, solar power, local saving, and practical learning connect care for the land with more resilient livelihoods.

01

Grow trees that can be tended for the long term.

The nursery raises seedlings for farms, schools, churches, and community planting. A hand-dug water source, tank, and solar pump support the work through dry periods. Members share practical tree-growing knowledge so planting is followed by care.

Build practical ways for neighbors to earn and learn.

Community-run table banking helps members save and borrow. Nursery work, seedling distribution, and beekeeping create opportunities for shared skills and local enterprise. A future community center is being planned as a place for training, learning, and meetings.

Built work, with outcomes still to measure.

The nursery and water system are in place, and community programs are underway. One million trees is a goal, not a count of trees planted. We will report measured outcomes when the underlying records are ready.
